Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), reverend Fr Ejike Mbaka, has adopted a kid soccer maestro, Agu Chukwuka, offering to bankroll his education up to university level.

The fiery priest also pledged to “do whatever it would take” to develop little Agu’s soccer talent to a blooming international football career.

“This phenomenal boy is from a very poor family; by the grace of God, we hereby, adopt him into our scholarship scheme.

“Whatever it will take, we will provide, to nurture him, develop his soccer talent and sponsor his education up to university level.

“I said whatever it would take, and I mean it” the vocal priest declared.

Mbaka made the declaration after introducing little Agu, who hails from Ukehe, in Igbo-Etiti council area of the state, to a crowd of worshipers, at the AMEN prayer arena, after his weekly Sunday ministration.

He described the boy as an emerging entertainer in the mould of\ ex-Supper Eagles and Bolton Wanderers skipper and playmaker, Austin Jay Jay Okocha; Messy, Ronaldo and Suarez.

After the introduction, the priest allowed Agu, who was kitted in full football regalia, some time to entertain the crowd of onlookers, and he did not disappoint.

He smashed the spectators with several amazing free-styles, holding on to the round leather for tens of minutes without letting it touch the ground.

Mbaka, who had earlier invited about a dozen priests that were present at the time join him in laying hands of prayer upon the boy, also enjoined the congregants to pray for Agu.

Holding the boy’s head he declared: “I bless you more than Messy, I bless you more than C-Ronaldo, I bless you more than Neymar and I bless you more than Suarez.

“Father, give him skills, so that in the annals of his football life, he will score an international name, with zero injury and multiple goal-scoring favours.

“Let the angels, as in Psalm 34:7, stand for you.

“We lift you to the arena of divine wealth through football career, in Jesus name.

“May you be another Okocha in Nigeria, may you be a blessing to the national football teams.

“The Eagles (National teams) will smile when they see you.

“On this prayer arena, you are blessed; dance on, my son”.

Meanwhile, as the priest stepped out after the prayer, the crowd surged upon the wonder boy, who had suddenly became a celebrity, with everyone trying to either get a better view of him or touch him to tap from his favours.

His excited father, Agu Festus, who stood close-by attempted to protect the little boy from the fervent crowd, Mbaka initially overruled him, saying, “don’t take him away, allow people to touch him. He is now a celebrity and they want to tap from his blessings”.

On hearing that, the entire crowd hurriedly emptied into the arena, falling over one another, to touch the boy. It took the intervention of security personnel on duty to rescue both little Agu and his father from the enveloping crowd.
