Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to comments made by Heung-min Son, who believes he isn’t among the top batch of players in the Premier League.

The South Korean has made a blistering start to 2020/21, scoring 10 goals and making five assists in his first 13 games.

Son, 28, has been reaping the rewards of teammate Harry Kane dropping into deeper positions this term.

The England captain has been the main provider for the former Bayer Leverkusen star, who received a Premier League Player of the Month nomination for October.

In-form Son has been asked about his start to the 2020/21 season and how he views himself compared to the best players in the Premier League, and he gave the exact kind of answer you’d expect.

He told the Korea Football Association YouTube channel: “I’ve never once thought I am among the best players in the Premier League. Honestly, I’ve never thought that for a moment.

“I have always tried to do my best for Tottenham and in the national team and try to show all my abilities. It feels different to play for the national team and for Spurs.”

Son’s comments proabably come as no surprise whatsoever to Spurs fans, who know the forward to be very grounded and humble.

He may genuinely believe there are many better players than him, but it is likely he is very self-confident deep down which helps him to be as good as he is.

These days Son is a consistent and proven performance and it is very hard to argue against him being one of the very best in the division period.

Tottenham fans loved their star’s comments social media:
